“Stree 2” (transl. Woman 2) is an upcoming Hindi-language comedy horror film directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande under the banners of Maddock Films and Jio Studios. A sequel to “Stree” (2018), it is the fifth installment in the Maddock Supernatural Universe. The film stars Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles, with Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana in supporting roles. “Stree 2” is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on 15 August 2024.

Production:
In October 2018, director Amar Kaushik announced plans for a sequel to “Stree.” In February 2022, actor Rajkummar Rao confirmed the sequel’s development. By March 2023, the sequel had entered the pre-production stage, with filming set to commence in July 2023. In April 2023, the makers announced that the film would release on 30 August 2024. The cast includes Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana, all reprising their roles from the previous film.
