Antony was impressed with the script, but Nithilan needed a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from Sundaram’s production house to proceed.

Passion Studios, initially unwilling to transfer the project, proposed an alternative. They decided to narrate the script to Vijay Sethupathi. If Sethupathi declined the role, they would then consider passing the project to another production house.

The film was also premiered in Los Angeles on 28 June 2024, as one of the closing night selections at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles.
