“Emergency” is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language biographical political action thriller film directed and co-produced by Kangana Ranaut. The screenplay is penned by Ritesh Shah, with the story written by Ranaut herself. The film is based on the period of the Indian Emergency and features Ranaut in the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The cast also includes Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman, and the late Satish Kaushik in key roles.

The film’s music is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, with the background score crafted by Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara. Lyrics are penned by Manoj Muntashir. The first single, titled “Singhasan Khali Karo,” was released on 26 August 2024.
Release date:
Originally slated for an October–November 2023 release, the film was later rescheduled for 14 June 2024. However, it was postponed again due to the Lok Sabha elections. The film is now set to release on 6 September 2024.
The film also features Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman and Satish Kaushik in pivotal roles. Rs.70Cr. Principal photography commenced in July 2022 and ended in January 2023.
