“Deva” is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Rosshan Andrrews and written by the duo Bobby–Sanjay, marking their debuts in Hindi cinema. The film stars Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde and is produced by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films.
The film was officially announced in May 2023. Principal photography began in October 2023 in Mumbai and wrapped by July 2024. The music is composed by Sachet–Parampara, with Jakes Bejoy providing the score. Cinematography is handled by Amit Roy, and editing is done by A. Sreekar Prasad.
“Deva” is scheduled for release on 14 February 2025, coinciding with Valentine’s Day.

Production:
In early August 2022, it was reported that Rosshan Andrrews visited Shahid Kapoor at his residence and narrated a script which impressed him. Later, in November 2022, Rosshan Andrrews confirmed via his social media handles that he would be directing Shahid Kapoor in his upcoming film. Touted to be an action thriller, the film marks the first collaboration between Rosshan Andrrews and Shahid Kapoor, as well as Rosshan’s first Hindi venture.
The film is produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur’s Roy Kapur Films and Zee Studios. The company made a public announcement on 25 May 2023, confirming the project. The film’s official title, “Deva,” was revealed on 24 October 2023, on the occasion of Dussehra. Shariq Patel of Zee Studios mentioned that he had been in separate discussions with Siddharth Roy Kapur and Shahid Kapoor over the years about different projects, but they never materialized until this film. This marks the first collaboration of Zee Studios with both the director and the actor. Kapoor reportedly reduced his remuneration for the film and was set to receive ₹25 crore (US$3.0 million) as the actor’s fee.

“Deva” is scheduled for release on 14 February 2025, coinciding with Valentine’s Day. The film was initially set to release on 11 October 2024, coinciding with Dussehra, but the release date was later postponed to 14 February 2025.
