Saripodhaa Sanivaaram (transl. Is Saturday not enough?) is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language vigilante action thriller film written and directed by Vivek Athreya. Produced by D. V. V. Danayya under DVV Entertainment, the film stars Nani and Priyanka Mohan in the lead roles, alongside S. J. Suryah, Aditi Balan, Sai Kumar, and Subhalekha Sudhakar.
According to South First, ‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’ is said to be made with a budget of Rs 90 crore making it the expensive film that the actor has played in. The actors’ previous films, including SS Rajamouli ‘Naan e’ / ‘Eega’ was made with a budget of Rs 40 to Rs 45 crore only.
The film was officially announced in October 2023 under the tentative title #Nani31, marking Nani’s 31st film as a lead actor. The official title was revealed shortly after the announcement. Principal photography began in November 2023, primarily taking place in various locations around Hyderabad. The film’s music is composed by Jakes Bejoy, with cinematography by Murali G. and editing by Karthika Srinivas.

Production:
In late May 2023, it was reported that Vivek Athreya and Nani would reunite after their collaboration on “Ante Sundaraniki” (2022). This project marks Nani’s 31st film in a leading role. On 21 October 2023, DVV Entertainment officially announced the project, tentatively titled #Nani31. The official title, “Saripodhaa Sanivaaram,” was revealed on 23 October. A muhurtam pooja ceremony was held on 24 October 2023 in Hyderabad, attended by the film’s cast and crew.
Release:
“Saripodhaa Sanivaaram” is scheduled to release on 29 August 2024 in Telugu, along with its dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, all titled “Surya’s Saturday.”
